Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie is a place full of history. Starting in the year 1875, large ships from all over the world docked here to unload their exotic cargo like coffee, cocoa, tea and spices directly into this large warehouse in the heart of the harbour.
On November 30, 2016, almost 150 years later, the official opening of the hotel Westin Hamburg by managing director Dagmar Zechmann and Mayor of Hamburg Olaf Scholz marked another crucial event in this building’s fascinating history.
More than 400 select international guests were invited to go on a “journey of well-being” and explore the different areas of the hotel with breathtaking views and luxurious design, inspired by the elements of the harbour, water & waves, air & wind, earth & sand.
I had the privilege of being the host and “Concierge for a night” at this wonderful event, accompanying the participants on their journey and guiding them through the evening. Organized by the amazing team from C3, the evening was a great success for everyone and a beautiful beginning for more stories to be written.
